Hosts USA started brilliantly by defeating Pakistan in a thrilling Super Over. However they confirmed their Super 8 berth after the match against Ireland was abandoned due to rain.
United States are placed in Group 2 alongside South Africa, West Indies and England. Their first Super 8 fixture will be against Proteas at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on June 19.
The top 2 sides from each Group will make it to the semifinal.
They will then face West Indies and England on June 22 & 23 in Barbados.
