West Indies from a comfortable position at 148/4 lost their last 6 wickets for just 45 runs. Eventually the visitors were bowled out for 193, with an overall lead of 215.
Chasing 216, Australia lost wickets of Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne early. But Steven Smith and Cameron Green saw the day through without any further alarms as the hosts ended the day at 60/2, still requiring a further 156 runs.
