Afghanistan have announced their 15 member squad for the upcoming World Cup 2023 beginning next month.
The squad will be lead by Hashmatullah Shahidi and have the likes of Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, Rashid Khan and Mujeeb ur Rahman in their set up.
Naveen-ul-Haq who last played one dayers in 2021 has been added to the marquee event. Afghanistan will start their campaign against Bangladesh at Dharamsala on October 7. They also will be playing 2 warm up games against South Africa and Sri Lanka on 29 September and 3 October at Thiruvananthapuram and Guwahati respectively.
The likes of Gulbadin Naib, Sharafuddin Ashraf and Fareed Ahmad have been named in reserves.
