The selectors on Wednesday announced India’s 17 man squad for the upcoming two match T20I international against Ireland beginning later this month.
All rounder Hardik Pandya has been appointed as skipper, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been named as his deputy.
Suryakumar Yadav makes a comeback after being sidelined due to injury against South Africa, while Sanju Samson has also been recalled.
VVS Laxman will lead the coaching staff on the tour in place of regular head coach Rahul Dravid who will be with the Test squad in England.
Wicket keeper Rishabh Pant and middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer have been rested. Left arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh and young cookie Umran Malik who are part of the squad against South Africa, have also been retained.
Rahul Tripathi has earned his maiden India call-up after a successful IPL season for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The two T20Is are scheduled to take place on June 26 and 28 in Dublin respectively.
