Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Sunrisers Hyderabad April 23 Brabourne Stadium Mumbai Match Report 2022

Marco Jansen and T Natarajan claimed 3 wickets each as the Sunrisers Hyderabad thumped the Royal Challengers Bangalore by 9 wickets at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday.

After being asked to bat first by SRH skipper Kane Williamson, Bangalore started disastrously as Jansen decimated the top order with wickets of Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Anuj Rawat, reducing them to 8/3.

The in form Glenn Maxwell (12) fell to a brilliant diving catch at mid off by Williamson off T Natarjan.

Jagadeesha Suchith struck twice in succession by sending back Suyash Prabhudessai (15) stumped and Dinesh Karthik (0) caught behind while attempting a sweep.

Harshal Patel and Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva perished to left arm seamer Natarajan for 4 & 8 respectively.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar wrapped up the innings by dismissing Mohammed Siraj for 2, as RCB were bundled out for a paltry score of 68 in 16.1 overs.

Chasing 69, Sunrisers got off to a quickfire start with openers Abhishek Sharma and Kane Williamson putting on 64 runs for the opening stand before the former (47) fell three run short of a well deserved fifty.

Rahul Tripathi eventually hit the winning runs by flicking Harshal Patel for six over square leg as Hyderabad won by 9 wickets.

With this victory the Sunrisers move to the second spot on the points table.

Marco Jansen was adjudged the Player of the Match for his impressive performance with the ball.
