Off-spinner Jayant Yadav claimed four wickets as India thumped New Zealand by 372 runs at the end of Day 4 of the second test in Mumbai on Monday.
Resuming at an overnight score of 140/5, the pair of Henry Nicholls and Rachin Ravindra added 22 more runs before the latter edged a Yadav delivery to Cheteshwar Pujara at slip for 18.
Jayant then dismissed both Kyle Jamieson (0) and Tim Southee (0) off consecutive deliveries. The former was dismissed leg before wicket, while the latter was cleaned up while going for a slog.
The 31 year old off spinner bagged his fourth wicket by dismissing William Somerville (1) caught at short leg by Mayank Agarwal.
Ravichandran Ashwin claimed the final wicket by dismissing Nicholls stumped by Wriddhiman Saha for a solid 44, as the visitors were bowled out for 167. With this victory the hosts clinched the series 1-0.
Agarwal was adjudged the Player of the Match, while Ashwin was declared the Man of the Series.
