Shubman Gill scored a fluent 57 as Kolkata Knight Riders defeated the Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets to keep their play-offs hopes alive on Sunday.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Sunrisers lost Wriddhiman Saha leg before wicket to Tim Southee in the very first over.
Jason Roy after scoring couple of boundaries was caught at mid on by Southee off Shivam Mavi.
Skipper Kane Williamson and Priyam Garg added 22 runs for the third wicket before the former was run out by a brilliant direct hit by Shakib Al Hasan at the non striker’s end.

Chasing 116, Venkatesh Iyer (8) departed cheaply as he miscued a Jason Holder delivery to Kane Williamson who took a tumbling catch.
Rashid Khan then dismissed the in form Rahul Tripathi caught at mid wicket by Abhishek Sharma.
Gill along with Nitish Rana added 55 runs for the third wicket before the former flicked a Siddarth Kaul delivery to Holder at long on for a well made 57.
Dinesh Karthik remained unbeaten on 18, as Kolkata reached the target off 116 with 2 balls to spare.
Gill was declared the Man of the Match.
