Indian Women’s star opening batsman Smriti Mandhana smashed an unbeaten 50 in 18 balls on her KSL debut that helped Western Storm beat Loughbrough by 18 runs in a rain truncated match which was reduced to a six over side at Taunton.
The 22 year old innings of 52(19)* consisted of four sixes and five fours.
Her innings helped her team reach 85/2 in six overs.
She equaled the record which was previously held by New Zealand’s Sophie Devine.
