The two time IPL Champions Kolkata Knight Riders will be playing with Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are on the top of the table, in the second qualifier of the Indian Premier League match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Friday.
KKR registered a victory against Rajasthan Royals in the the Eliminator, SRH have lost to CSK in the first qualifier on Tuesday.
Kolkata Knight Riders holds the edge over Sunrisers Hyderabad with nine wins out of 14 games amongst themselves.
The last time these two sides faced each other at the Eden Gardens it was Sunrisers Hyderabad who came up trumps by beating Knight Riders by 5 wickets.
KKR and SRH have won each in the round-robin league. Since their defeat at home, KKR have come a long way and won in Hyderabad.
With the momentum strongly in favour of Dinesh Karthik’s side who also have home advantage, it will require a special effort from the Kane Williamson’s men to stop the KKR juggernaut and return to winning ways.
The winner will be facing Chennai Super Kings in the IPL final at Mumbai on May 27.
