Second Batsman in Test Cricket to carry his bat three Times -Dean Elgar vs Australia at Capetown

South African opening batsman Dean Elgar remained unbeaten on 141 and also equalled a world record when he carried his bat till the end of the innings for the third time as his team were all out for 311 on the second day of the third Test against Australia at Capetown on Friday.

He also becomes the first to carry his bat twice in the same year.

Elgar joins West Indian Desmond Haynes as the only two players to carry his bat 3 times in Tests.
