Mumbai Indians continued their domination of Chennai Super Kings in this year’s IPL as they edged a nail-biting final to be crowned winners of the 2019 edition of the tournament. MI’s victory also meant the continuation of their winning streak in odd-numbered years this decade- they had previously won the tournament in 2013, 2015 and 2017.

Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians First Qualifier 7 May Match Report-2019

Mumbai justified their first place league finish as they beat Chennai Super Kings for the third time in IPL 2019 to book their spot in the final in Hyderabad.

The MA Chidambaram stadium has been a fortress of sorts for CSK this season, but not aganst MI, for whom middle order batsman Suryakumar Yadav made a brilliant 71 as they comfortably defeated the Super Kings by six wickets.

Chennai included Murali Vijay in place of the injured Kedar Jadhav, while Mumbai, perhaps seeing the slow nature of the pitch, brought in Jayant Yadav for Mitchell McClenaghan.

Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians 26 April Match Report-2019

Rohit Sharma scored a maiden half century , as Mumbai Indians defeated the Chennai Super Kings convincingly by 46 runs at M Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Friday.

Chennai Super Kings included Dhruv Shorey, Murali Vijay and Mitchell Santner in place of Faf Du Plessis, Ravi Jadeja and regular skipper MS Dhoni, while Mumbai Indians brought in Evin Lewis and debutant Anukul Roy for Ben Cutting and Mayank Markande.
