KL Rahul and Sarfaraz Khan’s fine fifties went in vain as Chennai Super Kings defeated the Kings XI Punjab by 22 runs at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Saturday.

The home brought Faf du Plessis, Harbhajan Singh and Scott Kuggeleijn in place of Dwayne Bravo, Mohit Sharma and Shardul Thakur, while the visitors included Chris Gayle and Andrew Tye for Hardus Viljoen and Mujeeb-ur-Rahman.

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders Match Report- 5 April 2019

Andre Russell pulled one out of the hat for the second time in this tournament as his late onslaught condemned Royal Challengers Bangalore to their fifth straight defeat in IPL 2019.

Few would’ve expected the Windies all-rounder to produce a repeat of his heroics against SRH earlier in the tournament, but that’s exactly what he did, slamming 48 from 13 balls to earn KKR an unlikely lookng victory.

Tim Southee made his first appearance for RCB this year, coming in for the out of form Shimron Hetmyer, while Umesh Yadav was axed for Pawan Negi. Kolkata made only one change, with Sunil Narine returning from injury in place of Nikhil Naik.

After being sent into bat by KKR, the RCB opening pair of Parthiv Patel and Virat Kohli gave their side a solid start at the Chinnaswamy. The duo added 64 runs for the first wicket before Nitish Rana had Parthiv LBW for 25. Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Match Report- 4 April 2019

Jonny Bairstow continued his magnificent form with the bat as Sunrisers Hyderabad comfortably defeated the Delhi Capitals by 5 wickets to register their third consecutive win and go top of the the Indian Premier League at the Feroz Shah Kotla on Thursday.

The win also continued Mohammad Nabi’s incredible record in a SRH jersey- the franchise have never lost a game when the Afghan all-rounder has been in the XI.

Hyderabad opted for an unchanged starting lineup while Delhi, attempting to bounce back from their shock meltdown against Punjab, made three changes. In came Ishant Sharma, Rahul Tewatia and Axar Patel and out went Hanuma Vihari, Harshal Patel and Avesh Khan.

Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings Match Report 3 April 2019

Chennai Super Kings suffered their first defeat of IPL 2019 as a stunning all-round performance from Hardik Pandya helped Mumbai Indians beat the visitors by 37 runs at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday. The win was Mumbai’s 100th in IPL history- the first franchise to achieve the landmark.

MI opted to give Jason Behrendorff his debut, with the Australian pacer replacing Mitchell McClenaghan in the XI. Another change saw Rahul Chahar, the first cousin of CSK pacer Deepak, come in for Mayank Markande. CSK chose to go with only three foreigners, with Kiwi Mitchell Santner making way for Mohit Sharma.

14th Game of IPL 2019- Rajasthan Royals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Match Report 2 April 2019

Royal Challengers Bangalore slumped to their fourth straight defeat in this year’s IPL as Rajasthan Royals opened their own account with a comfortable seven wicket win at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Tuesday. The Royals only won on the penultimate delivery of the innings, but were always in control of the chase as RCB’s struggles continued.

With Sanju Samson, scorer of the first century of this year’s IPL, out injured, the Royals brought in all rounder Stuart Binny. Jaydev Unadkat paid the price for his horror last over against Chennai as he was axed for India pacer Varun Aaron. There were three changes for Bangalore, with Australian star Marcus Stoinis making his first appearance of the tournament in place of Colin de Grandhomme and Akshdeep Nath and Navdeep Saini coming in for Shivam Dube and young Prayas Ray Barman respectively.

13th Game of IPL 2019- Kings XI Punjab vs Delhi Capitals Match Report 1 April 2019

Sam Curran claimed a stunning hat-trick as Kings XI Punjab snatched victory from the jaws of defeat to register a dramatic 14 run triumph against the Delhi Capitals in Mohali.

The visitors were 144/3 at one stage, requiring just 23 runs in 21 balls, but a late meltdown saw them lose their last seven wickets for just 8 runs, leaving coach Ricky Pointing and skipper Shreyas Iyer shocked on the sidelines. It was a collapse of epic proportions on All Fools’ Day, and even the jubilant home supporters at the PCA Stadium couldn’t quite believe their eyes.

The home side, somewhat surprisingly, excluded Chris Gayle and Andrew Tye, with Sam Curran and Mujeeb Ur Rahman coming into the XI, while Delhi brought in pacer Avesh Khan at the expense of spinner Amit Mishra.
