India have named their 15 man squad for the upcoming Asian Games 2026 scheduled to be held in September-October in Japan.
The squad will be captained by Shreyas Iyer, with Tilak Varma being named his deputy. Young Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is also part of the set up.
India are the defending champion at the Asian Games cricket tournament, having won the gold in the 2023 edition in the leadership of Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Varun Chakravarthy has been ruled out of the one-off T20I against Japan as well as the Asian Games after picking up a injury during the first T20I against Afghanistan in Delhi and will be replaced by Vipraj Nigam.
Nitish Kumar Reddy, who was part of the Asian Games squad has been withdrawn. He will now feature in the ODI series against West Indies.
