The Afghanistan Cricket Board have named their 15-man squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8, 2026. The squad will be captained by Rashid Khan and have the likes of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Mohammad Ishaq in their set up.
Afghanistan have been placed in Group D alongside New Zealand, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and Canada respectively. Abdullah Ahmadzai has received a maiden call up.
They will begin their campaign against New Zealand on February 8 in Chennai. The likes of Allah Ghazanfar, Ijaz Ahmadzai & Zia Ur Rahman Sharifi have been named in reserves.
