New Zealand have named their 15 member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup scheduled to be held in June in USA and West Indies.

The Black Caps were the first team to name the squad for the upcoming marquee event. The team will be captained by Kane Williamson and have the likes of Finn Allen, Devon Conway Daryl Mitchell & Glenn Phillips in their set up.

CSK vs SRH Attendance 36,084 Chennai IPL April 2024

A crowd of 36,084 was present in attendance at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in the evening for the IPL fixture between the Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad on 28 April, 2024.

The figure was announced while Chennai were batting.

After being asked to bat first, CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad lead from the front by scoring quickfire 98 to take CSK to a formidable score of 212/3 in their 20 overs.

In response, Tushar Deshpande claimed figures of 4/24 as Sunrisers were bowled out for 134, giving CSK a 78 run win. With this victory, Chennai finished third in the table.

Delhi Capitals Jake Fraser-McGurk equalled his record by scoring the fastest fifty in IPL 2024 season. He achieved this feat against Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday.

The right-hander reached his landmark off ust 15 balls . The Australian had earlier scored a 15-ball fifty against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the tournament at the same venue.

List of ICC Men’s Cricket T20 World Cup 2024 Fixtures

The ICC has announced the fixtures for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 scheduled to be held from June 2 to June 29 in West Indies and New York.

The teams are divided into 4 groups. Group A has India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada and USA. England, Australia, Namabia, Scotland and Oman are in Group B.

In Group C we have New Zealand, West Indies, Afghnistan, Uganda and Papua New Guinea and in Group D we have South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands and Nepal.

The matches will be played in Lauderhill, Dallas and New York City.

KKR vs PBKS Attendance 55,767 Eden Gardens Kolkata IPL April 2024

A fantastic crowd of 55,767 was officially present in attendance at the Eden Gardens on a hot summer evening for the IPL fixture between the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS; formerly known as KXIP) on 26 April, 2024.

The Eden crowd was treated to a run-feast by both sets of batsmen. The attendance figure was announced on televsion during the PBKS chase.

Put into bat by PBKS skipper Sam Curran, KKR managed a whopping 261/6 in their 20 overs, riding primarily on the back of quickfire 70’s from openers Phil Salt and Sunil Narine.

Punjab though scripted the biggest ever chase in IPL history with Jonny Bairstow (brought in for Liam Livingstone) scoring a century. Prabhsimran and Shashank Singh did their parts too, and PBKS chased down 262 with eight balls to spare!

Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar scored fine half centuries as Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 35 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, openers Kohli and Faf Du Plessis got RCB off to a quickfire start. The duo added 48 runs for the first wicket before the latter perished to T Natarajan for 25.

Will Jacks (6) was then cleaned up by Mayank Markande while attempting a sweep shot. Kohli along with Patidar added 65 runs for the third wicket stand before the latter flicked a full toss from Jaydev Unadkat to Abdul Samad at deep square leg for a quickfire 20 ball-50.

The star Indian batter Kohli after reaching his fifty, miscued a slower short of length delivery from Unadkat to Andul Samad for 51. However cameos from Cameron Green (37), Dinesh Karthik (11) and Swapnil Singh (12)* propelled RCB to a challenging total of 206/7 in their 20 overs.

Chasing 207, Will Jacks drew first blood by snaring the prize scalp of Travis Head in the very first over for 1. Abhishek Sharma along with Aiden Markram put on 36 runs for the second wicket stand before the former was dismissed by Yash Dayal for 31.

Swapnil Singh who came in as impact player dismissed both Markram (7) and Klaasen (7) in the fifth over. Shahbaz Ahmed (40) and Pat Cummins (31) provided handy contributions down the order but it wasn’t enough as SRH ended up with 171/8 in their 20 overs, thereby falling 35 run short of the target.
